This play should be part of the English curriculum. It has a different style of writing, the language goes along with the times, it is based on real events, and the difficulty level is just right for high school students. The Crucible should remain compulsory on the curriculum. One of the most important reasons why The Crucible should be part of the curriculum is because of its historical context. Very few of the books read for class are based on historical events. People think that handwriting should be graded because the teachers need to read it. I believe it is not necessary that handwriting should be graded at a young age because of Grammar, Spelling, and organization.

The works of drama that we study in a classroom share those elements. For example, if you are watching a play in a theatre, feelings of tension and anticipation often arise because you are wondering what will happen between the characters on stage. Will they shoot each other? Will they finally confess their undying love for one another?
The word drama is derived from the ancient Greek word meaning action. Drama is a way of expressing or showing a story. Drama can make us feel happy, sad, afraid, superior, and inferior and so on.
