Keeping Safe

Equipment to help keep safe in the community

For children with limited understanding, keeping them safe can be a challenge. Thankfully there are resources available on line that can help. Please also talk to your child’s teacher, health visitor or social worker for advice.

We are often asked at Parent Voice if families are able to access a buggy/wheelchair through wheelchair services to help keep the child safe whilst out and about. The first step is to speak to your child’s GP or physiotherapist, to discuss whether they meet the criteria for wheel chair services. If they don’t, there may be a charity able to help with funding towards costs
