Parent Voice has been providing information and advice service for parents and carers of disabled children aged 0-25 in Hampshire for the last 9 years.
However, support for families of children and young people with educational needs and/or disability living in Hampshire is changing in the new year.
Hampshire County Council, working with the five NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups in Hampshire, has awarded a three-year contract to Core Assets Children's Services, to provide an impartial Special Educational Needs and Disability Information, Advice and Support (SENDIAS) Service in Hampshire.
From 1 January 2019, this one service will encompass both Support4SEND (currently provided by Hampshire County Council), together with Parent Voice (operated by The Rose Road Association). In response to feedback from families, this service will provide a single point of contact for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disability and their parents and carers.
Core Assets Children’s Services have over 24 years of experience in supporting children, young people and their families with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND). We will work with them to ensure that there are no gaps in the service you receive between now and the start of the contract in January, as well as to make sure that the transition from two services into a single service is as smooth as possible.
Further updates will be provided at the earliest opportunity, once arrangements have been finalised. To learn more about Core Assets and its services, visit the Core Assets website.
Until the beginning of the new contract on 1st January 2019, Parent Voice will continue to provide information and advice via our local rate helpline on 0300 303 8603 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
